Descriptions
Growth of quality assets (Loans) and liabilities (Deposits) together with cross selling other bank products while maintaining business relationship with existing and new customers in accordance with the Bank’s strategic focus.
Responsibilities
- Business Growth
Growing Loan Portfolio
- Identify and negotiate business opportunities in order to grow loan portfolio, interest and not interest income in-line with zonal annual targets.
- Follow up on sale leads and pipelines to maturity
- Business development support – exploration of opportunities in the zone and devising strategies for benefits realization.
- Assist branches to develop and monitor strategic plans i.e target market, sectors and expectations based on local market survey and customer feedback
- Communicate and review branches’ performance and devise remedial measures for any deviation from the target.
Deposit mobilization
- Support branches to solicit deposits from SME& MSE customers and other segments to meet Bank’s deposit targets
Cross selling
- Cross selling of all bank products and services to SME & MSE Customers.
2. Portfolio Management
- Work closely with branches to ensure adherence to all terms and condition of approved loans.
- Take prompt action for delinquent cases.
3. Relationship management
- Develop and maintain business relationship with existing and potential customers on behalf of the bank. Act as bank’s key contact person to SME & MSE customers
- Facilitate establishment and maintenance of active SME & MSE business under the Bank.
- Assist branches with specific customer complaints
- Initiate and conduct customer engagements in order to retain them and enhance loyalty
4. Capacity Building to branch business team & SME Customers
- Provide capacity building to BCC members on technical issues regarding SME & MSE lending
- Train or create awareness of SME &MSE lending business in the Bank and its strategic importance to the Bank.
- Train SME &MSE customers on the SME &MSE toolkit aspects to ensure that customers are empowered with knowledge to manage their businesses and become good customers of the Bank.
5. Reporting
- Preparation and submission of periodic reports as may be required by management
Other Responsibilities
People Management functions
- Provision of ‘hands on’ support and guidance to Relationship Officers at Branches.
- Provide special mentoring and support to Relationship Officers at Branches with unsatisfactory performances .
Requirements
Experience Required
- Candidate must have at least 3 years working experience on the same field or other related business activities including but not limited to lending and deposit mobilization.
Knowledge required
- Bank product knowledge and ability to sell product based on customer KYC.
- General knowledge on performance of various business sectors, operational environment, competitive structure, industry practices and regulatory framework
Minimum Requirement
- Bachelor degree in Business related field including Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accountancy, financial management and any other related field.
- A Master Degree and/or Certification by professional bodies is an added advantage.
